Discover Lorenzo's Way

If you’re wandering around 2nd Level, C2 7th Ave, Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines and craving something indulgent yet thoughtfully prepared, Lorenzo's Way quickly stands out as a dining spot that blends comfort food with a polished, contemporary vibe. I’ve visited more than once-first for a casual family lunch and later for a client dinner-and each time, the experience felt consistent, warm, and genuinely satisfying.

The menu leans heavily into Filipino classics, but not in a predictable way. Instead of simply replicating traditional dishes, the kitchen refines them. Take their kare-kare, for example. The peanut sauce has that deep, roasted nuttiness you’d expect, yet it’s smoother and more balanced than most versions I’ve tried around Metro Manila. According to culinary studies from the University of the Philippines’ Department of Food Science and Nutrition, flavor layering-especially balancing fat, salt, and umami-is essential in elevating heritage recipes. You can taste that principle at work here. The bagoong isn’t overpowering; it complements the dish rather than dominating it.

On my second visit, I paid closer attention to how the staff handled service flow. Orders were taken promptly, and dishes arrived in logical progression-appetizers first, then mains spaced just enough to avoid crowding the table. This might sound simple, but efficient pacing directly influences diner satisfaction. The National Restaurant Association has long emphasized that timing and attentiveness are key drivers of positive restaurant reviews, and Lorenzo's Way clearly understands that rhythm.

Beyond kare-kare, the crispy pata deserves mention. The skin shatters on contact, revealing tender, well-seasoned meat inside. Achieving that texture isn’t accidental. It involves controlled boiling to render fat, air-drying to remove surface moisture, and precise deep-frying temperature management. Having worked briefly in a commercial kitchen during my university years, I know how tricky that balance can be. Too hot, and the exterior burns before the interior heats through; too cool, and the skin turns chewy. Here, it’s done right.

Seafood options are equally compelling. The grilled salmon, for instance, arrives moist and flaky, paired with fresh sides that lighten the richness. It’s a smart move, especially considering growing health awareness among Filipino diners. Data from the World Health Organization continues to highlight the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids in fish, and many restaurants now include lighter dishes to accommodate changing preferences. Lorenzo's Way manages to offer both indulgent and mindful choices without compromising flavor.

The ambiance matches the food’s thoughtful execution. Wooden accents, warm lighting, and spacious seating make it suitable for family gatherings, date nights, or even small business meetings. During peak dinner hours, the space fills quickly, yet it never feels chaotic. Conversations flow easily, and you don’t have to shout across the table. That kind of acoustic comfort is often overlooked but makes a noticeable difference in overall dining experience.

Location also plays a part in its popularity. Being situated in Taguig, close to major business districts, means it attracts professionals during weekdays and families on weekends. Accessibility and parking are relatively convenient, though like most busy areas in Metro Manila, peak hours can mean a short wait. Reservations are a practical choice, especially for larger groups.

Online reviews frequently highlight the consistency of both the food and the service, which aligns with what I’ve personally experienced. While menu offerings may evolve over time-as any good restaurant adapts to seasonal ingredients and customer feedback-the core dishes remain dependable. Pricing falls into the mid-to-upper range, but portion sizes and ingredient quality justify the cost.

There are, of course, minor limitations. On particularly busy evenings, service can slow slightly, and certain popular dishes may sell out. Still, transparency from the staff and their willingness to suggest alternatives builds trust. Accuracy in billing and clear menu descriptions further reinforce reliability.

For anyone exploring dining options in Taguig, this spot delivers more than just a meal. It offers a carefully curated menu, attentive service, and an atmosphere that encourages you to linger a little longer over dessert and coffee, making it a memorable fixture in Metro Manila’s vibrant restaurant scene.

  • Food is okay.. -Bamboo Rice was a bit flavorful for me it makes me thirsty and overpowers the other dishes, better get the plain or garlic rice to complement and enjoy more -Bulalo is so-so, Tagaytay's bulalo is still better. -Spanish Chicken garlic is yummy! Love it!

  • Went here for an afternoon coffee with my nephew. We choose this place because of the nice view from their Al fresco seating. I love Lorenzo for their Filipino food for lunch or dinner. But for dessert, not so much. But the staff were very accommodating and the atmosphere is very nice so still recommended if you just want to chill around BGC area.

  • The restaurant was nice and cozy, waiting time was okay, not too long, the service was also good, they readily assisted us to our seats. The food was delicious, I liked the KangKong with lechon and the Paella. The whole restaurant is clean and smells good. We had a nice lunch indeed.

  • Dinner out with friends and we ordered a bunch of items to share. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would not mind going back here. * appetizers of kesong puti caprese and baked cheesy spinach were good. Callos was good too but not a standout. * main entrees of binukadkad na pla-pla, knockout knuckles (their version of crispy pata) and lengua estufada were delicious! The calamares en su tinta was a bit overcooked making it a little chewy. The bulalo was good too but not particularly memorable. * bamboo rice is a must order! * for dessert, the toffee sans rival was definitely sweet but still a must get while Claude's Dream sounded better than the actual taste

  • Always love the Filipino food at Lorenzo's Way - really taste like home cooked food. Quality of food is good and delicious. Must try the Deli cious Rice - where you have white rice served with anchovies and black bean. The traditional dessert is also fantastic.
